Our clients Poly (formerly known as Plantronics) and Sharp were both present at the ISE tradeshow at the RAI Amsterdam this year. The ISE tradeshow is an international event for the audio and video industry. Our PR team assisted Poly and Sharp to steer interviews with journalists in the right direction and to ensure positive reporting.
In this, preparation was crucial. Together with our European partner agencies we systematically approached journalists from all over Europe. We drew up international schedules and wrote extensive briefings, in which we linked the information needs of the reporters to the key messages of the client, as well as the right spokesperson. Thanks to this approach, spokespersons knew exactly what to share and journalists received newsworthy information. Each interview was guided by one of our consultants.
But it wouldn’t have been a true tradeshow without unplanned visits. We also made sure to guide these and assisted in arranging quiet places for the interview or simply ensuring no cameramen were knocked over. Of course, we also made sure the reporters from our network were able to meet with our clients.
Thanks to our PR support, Poly and Sharp held over 25 interviews at the ISE tradeshow. These resulted in a wide variety of publications, including (online) articles, podcasts, videos and posts on social media. More importantly, we enabled our clients to build new media relations and to strengthen existing ones.
