GO Sharing wanted to make their launch of its first 500 shared e-scooters in Brussels known to the general public. The challenge? They weren’t the first e-scooter service in the capital, and because of their launch in Antwerp six months earlier, the overall GO Sharing concept had already been covered in several media. At LVTPR, we still felt they had a story to tell from a Brussels perspective.
In order to find that story, we took a deep dive into our client and its market, as usual. We looked for the added news value and the elements that made GO Sharing different from the other local players. Also, which journalists were addressing which Brussels mobility and shared economy topics, and how did that match the messaging of GO Sharing? We combined this research with our solid understanding of the Belgian and Brussels’ media landscape, in order to provide the right journalists with relevant news.
Readers from all parts of Belgium learnt about this new player in town through all relevant local media (including expat media, an important target group), the majority of the big national newspapers and even some business titles, including this TV item on Canal Z.
