News | Share & Learn in Villa Project: multi-disciplinary knowledge sharing

Imagine: all employees of the LVT Group in a beautiful villa in Chaam, Noord-Brabant, the Netherlands. In the middle of nowhere. Although easy to reach from our offices in Amsterdam, Bunnik and Brussels. Divide all employees over four days and into multiple junior, medior and senior teams. And make sure every group contains the ultimate mix of PR, content, event and design experts. Let them focus on a real-life communication case all day. And present the results to a skilled jury and each other at the end of the day. Almost sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? Well, it was true. Because the Villa Project became reality. And it was fantastic.

Everyone who works for the LVT Group knows that the business changes. It’s crucial to keep learning. If there’s one thing we want to avoid it’s standing still. That’s why we keep investing in our people. Our internal training project is an important part of this: the LVT Academy. Everyone – from junior to senior – gets the opportunity to learn from each other. Our online consultant regularly provides training on social media, others share everything there is to know about time management, and our corporate specialists host workshops on crisis communication. This way, we don’t just combine our expertise, we’re also able to improve services towards our clients.

The different Benelux offices within the LVT Group prevent us from all working side by side. Collaborating with other visions and expertise isn’t always the standard. More and more often, communication challenges require a multi-disciplinary approach. And so the collaboration between our specialists of different labels and countries is becoming increasingly important.

Brainstorming and collaborating

And guess what: brainstorming and collaborating with colleagues from other disciplines – in a completely different environment – turned out to be incredibly interesting. Of course we all know each other from team building activities, but it’s good to discover how other labels think, develop, and go about handling things. Thanks to the results that were presented during this week, it also become clear how, together, we’re a one-stop shop that can handle any multi-disciplinary communication challenge. The plans turned out to be so promising that we used many of them to show our clients. Now simply add working hard, laughing hard, and learning more to this day, and you’ll understand why everyone enjoys working for the LVT Group so much.
